HISTORY
Legend says that in the 12th century a large wooden cross was discovered, concealed in a cluster of mint bushes on this tranquil hilltop. It was considered a sign and a monastery was built on the spot: Stavros Tis Minthis. Centuries later, when Cypriot developer Elias Eliades first visited this hillside, he was captivated by the history, the natural beauty and the breathtaking views of this unique and fabled place. With a deep knowledge of the area’s culture and heritage as well as desire to preserve and regenerate the natural landscape, he and Pafilia have helped Minthis evolve into the desirable community that it is today. A place of enrichment and beauty, it is true to its past and a legacy for future generations.
